Jimmy's Steakhouse Sauce is a proudly South African product that originated in 1989, created by Jimmy Baptista and his wife Linda in their Cape Town home. What began as a homemade marinade soon became a household favorite across the country. In 1997, the brand officially launched as Jimmy’s Sauces and quickly earned a reputation for its bold, rich flavor, perfect for grilling and everyday meals. The sauce is known for its versatility—used as a marinade, baste, or table sauce—and contains a blend of quality ingredients like tomatoes, chutney, Worcestershire sauce, and herbs.

In 2015, Jimmy's Steakhouse Sauce gained global recognition when it was awarded World Champion Steak Sauce in Louisiana, USA. This international acclaim boosted its popularity beyond South Africa, with exports reaching the UK, Australia, New Zealand, and several African countries. Despite its global reach, the sauce is still produced locally in Brackenfell, Cape Town, and remains a staple in South African homes—especially loved during braais. Jimmy’s has become more than a condiment; it’s a celebration of local flavor and entrepreneurial success.
